Sunny and dry weather for the rest of the week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – It’s going to be a beautiful fall day with slightly cooler temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

Dense fog will develop across several of our eastern counties this morning. The fog and morning cloud cover will dissipate later this morning and we will have a bright, sunny day ahead. A cold front moved through overnight, so temperatures will only reach 70 degrees this afternoon, with morning lows dropping into the 50s.

The cooling off is short-lived as we begin to warm up again tomorrow. Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-80s in the afternoon, with sunshine the rest of the week. Temperatures will remain in the mid-80s on Thursday and Friday, with lows in the mid-50s.

This weekend will be significantly warmer as highs will climb into the upper 80s and some humidity will return as well. Bright, sunny skies can be expected on Saturday and Sunday.

A strong cold front will arrive Sunday evening, dropping into the 50s overnight. By early next week, highs will return to the mid-70s and humidity levels will also drop to more comfortable dew points.
