Royals shut out Orioles, win Game 1 of AL Wildcard

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Kansas City Royals needed just one run to move within one win of advancing to the American League Divisional round. In the first game of the AL Wildcard in Baltimore, the Royals downed the Orioles, 1-0.

The best two-out-of-three series continues Wednesday afternoon where the Orioles will look to extend the series to a winner-take-all third game and the Royals will look to advance.

This is Kansas City’s first playoff appearance since the World Series championship season of 2015.
