Ravens QB Lamar Jackson criticizes NFL players who complain about statistics

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has responded sharply to NFL fans who have complained about his individual production, explaining that he is more focused on winning than meeting certain statistical thresholds for players and their bets. Jackson repeated his message in a Monday post on X:

Jackson, 27, recorded a season-low 156 passing yards against the Buffalo Bills Sunday night footballbut the Ravens were still able to win 35-10 and improve to 2-2. The Louisville product also posted a 135.4 grade, completed 13 of 18 passes and completed 72.22% of his passes.

The over/under for passing yards for Jackson was around 200 yards, meaning anyone who bet the over would have lost money. It was the second week in a row that the two-time MVP fell short of 200 passing yards.

However, he threw for 858 yards and five touchdowns compared to just one interception on the season.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson relied on a rushing attack to win games

Many players place bets that use player props. Parlay is when a player bets on several things to happen. The player can only win the bet if all the hits are correct. Players typically risk less money and have the potential to win a larger amount in the event of a parlay. Although parlays are harder to hit.

Jackson made it clear at this point that he was more interested in wins than his quarterback’s stats. He remains one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL. He is also averaging 77 rushing yards per game, which would be the second-highest mark of his career on a full season.

Baltimore was able to rebound from its first 0-2 finish since 2015 and is currently just one game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North.

Jackson’s lack of passing is a byproduct of the Ravens relying more on the running game. Four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Derrick Henry signed a two-year, $16 million contract with Baltimore in free agency. The 2020 NFL Offensive Player of the Year was unstoppable through the first four weeks of the season.

The Ravens are looking to qualify for the playoffs for the third straight season.
