Preview | Orlando’s postseason offensive resumes

The team has had a string of strong performances and will need to continue that form to take points from quality conference opponents like Orlando, which has won four of its last five games. Head coach Oscar Pareja’s top scorers in 2024 are Facundo Torres and Duncan McGuire, who scored 13 and nine goals respectively, while Martin Ojda, Nico Lodeiro and Iván Angulo served as facilitators, topping the club’s assists leaderboard.

“Oscar teams are always very brave, always very physical, always very strong defensively and very, very good offensively,” head coach Jim Curtin said during the -1 game day press conference. “I always like teams that are bold, aggressive and proactive rather than reactive. And I think Oscar teams are always like that. “Again, it will be very difficult to break them down when you get chances against them in transition because they are aggressive, pushing both outside defenders high.”

The pair last met in May when Orlando City left Subaru Park with all three points after a brace from Luis Muriel and a goal from McGuire made the final score 3-2. It was only their third victory of the season and they have since gained momentum, climbing up the rankings after a difficult start to the year.
