Ottawa Senators

Forward Josh Norris and defenseman Artem Zub are expected to be in the lineup on Tuesday when the Senators face the Montreal Canadiens in a preseason game.

Norris, 25, did not play in the Senators’ preseason after undergoing a third surgery on his left shoulder in March.

Head coach Travis Green told the media that the plan had always been to play Norris on Tuesday and expected him to play 17 to 21 minutes per game.

The 180 cm tall center recorded 16 goals and 30 points in 50 games last season.

According to Postmedia’s Bruce Garrioch, Zub has not played every day due to a lower-body injury that is not considered serious.

The 180 cm tall defender has not played in the pre-season yet this year. Last season he scored five goals and 25 points in 69 games.

The Senators used these lines during their Tuesday morning skate before their game against the Canadiens.

He also appeared in one game with the Red Wings, making 33 saves in a 3-2 win over the Devils on December 23.

Canadians from Montreal

Defenseman David Reinbacher underwent surgery on his left knee and the team announced Tuesday that he will be sidelined for five to six months.

Reinbacher left Saturday’s 2-1 preseason loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first period after being hit in the open ice.

The 19-year-old was selected by the Canadiens in the 2023 draft with the fifth pick.
