Former NFL quarterback Eddie Lacy will face DUI-related charges after he was arrested in Scottsdale late Monday night, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

The former Green Bay Packers running back was arrested around 10:40 p.m. after officers responded to reports of a possible impaired driver and spotted a vehicle matching the description. Officers said they saw him commit several driving offenses.

He was booked on four separate DUI charges, including “extreme DUI” related to an alleged blood-alcohol level of 0.20 or more. He was also arrested on suspicion of having an “open container in a vehicle,” a Scottsdale police spokesman said.

Lacy, 34, played college soccer at Alabama from 2009-2012 and competed in three BCS national championships. He was named offensive MVP in the 2012 BCS championship game against Notre Dame.

In the 2013 NFL Draft, Lacy was selected in the second round by the Green Bay Packers. In his freshman year, he rushed for nearly 1,200 yards and 11 touchdowns and was named the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Lacy played four seasons in Green Bay before signing a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017, during which he played in nine games (three starts).

Further details about his arrest were not immediately available.
