Charlotte FC has signed a new contract with goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina

This season, the Croatian marksman has 10 shutouts in the league and ranks fourth in MLS in saves (113). His second-longest streak this year is 524 minutes.

“Kristijan has been exceptional since joining the club prior to our inaugural season and has since established himself as one of Major League Soccer’s elite goalkeepers,” sporting director Zoran Krneta said in a release.

“He is a fierce competitor who wants to fight for trophies and has proven time and time again that he can win matches in net. Kristijan is another defensive piece we have extended for multiple seasons and we are delighted for him to continue his career in Charlotte while building a club towards an MLS Cup win.
