‘American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez’: How to watch the new episode on FX

The first installment of FX’s “American Sports Story” is based on the Gladiator podcast: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc. from The Boston Globe and Wondery.

According to FX, the 10-episode limited series will chronicle the rise and fall of NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez and explore distinct aspects of his identity, family, career, suicide and their legacy in sports and American culture.

In today’s new episode, “Aaron prepares for the NFL Draft with high hopes, but secrets from his past threaten to uncover his NFL prospects.”

The former New England Patriots player was convicted of murdering semi-pro football player Odin L. Lloyd in 2015. Lloyd was the boyfriend of Hernandez’s fiancée’s sister.

Days after being acquitted in his second trial on charges of shooting two men in a car near a Boston nightclub, Hernandez died by suicide in 2017 at a maximum security prison in Massachusetts.
