The Dallas Cowboys may struggle to run the ball, create separation on wide receivers or stop the run, but at least they excel at protecting their star quarterback.

According to Next Gen Stats, Dak Prescott had an average of 2.4 seconds to throw the ball before the pocket collapsed.

That’s good enough to rank third in the NFL. He was under pressure just 18.4% of the time, the second lowest rate of his career.

It appears the Cowboys offensive line has taken much of the blame for the team’s recent struggles; however, statistics show that they have not only managed to stay ahead in passing games.

The running game is a different story, with the Cowboys averaging a league-low 75.3 yards per game and just 3.5 yards per carry, good for second-worst in the NFL.

However, this should not be blamed on the offensive line, as the lack of talent on Dallas’ defense plays a significant role in this struggle.
