East Brunswick Police have completed their fall “Police and Teens Together” program.

EAST BRUNSWICK, New Jersey – The East Brunswick Police Department has successfully completed the fall 2024 Police and Teens with Police (PATT) program at East Brunswick High School. The program concluded on Thursday, September 26, led by Detective Wright, the department’s school resource specialist, and Officer Korten of the city police unit.

The PATT program, which aims to build trust and improve relationships between law enforcement and local youth, provided criminal justice students with insight into various areas of police work. Students learned about law enforcement practices and had the opportunity to interact directly with officers, asking questions and expressing concerns.

The initiative also gave participants a chance to explore potential careers in law enforcement. Police officers noted that the dialogue helped create better understanding between students and officers.

The East Brunswick Police Department expressed its appreciation for the involvement of East Brunswick High School students and staff in supporting the program.

Efforts to strengthen community connections through the PATT program will continue as part of the department’s broader community initiatives.
