Boston police are looking for four young men in connection with a downtown robbery

Boston police are looking for four men in connection with an assault that left serious injuries downtown on the night of Sept. 13, authorities said.

Officers responded to the attack just before 11 p.m. at the corner of North and Union streets near Faneuil Hall, police said in a statement that included surveillance photos of the four suspects.

Police did not release the age or gender of the victim or describe the circumstances leading up to the alleged attack. Details of the person’s injuries were not immediately known.

“Members of the public who wish to anonymously assist with the investigation may do so by calling the CrimeStoppers tip line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word “TIP” to CRIME (27463),” police said. “The Boston Police Department will strictly protect and protect the identities of anyone who wishes to assist with this investigation in an anonymous manner.”
