Jennie Garth Regrets Taking Part in ‘90210’, Says: ‘I Regret Doing It’

Washington (USA), September 15 (ANI): ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star Jennie Garth has shared her thoughts on why she regrets reprising her role as Kelly Taylor in the fourth season of the popular series, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

‘90210’ is an American teen drama television series created by Rob Thomas, Gabe Sachs, and Jeff Judah. It aired on The CW from September 2, 2008, to May 13, 2013. It is the fourth series in Darren Star’s ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ franchise.

“I regret doing it. I don’t want to offend them,” she said, admitting she regrets being part of the fourth series.

“The producer was a friend of a friend, and I remember he came into my living room, sat me down, (advertised it as) the opportunity of a lifetime. He asked me to do it, and I didn’t know how to say no,” Garth added. “But people were so nice and wished them well.” Garth, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling were the only original cast members to return to “90210,” which starred Shenae Grimes-Beech and AnnaLynne McCord and followed the wealthy students of West Beverly Hills High School.

Brian Austin Green, Gabrielle Carteris and Ian Ziering, who previously appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210, joined Garth in sharing their views on the show’s continuation.

“I never wanted to do it,” Carteris admitted, adding, “I was so shocked that they were doing a new show. I thought to myself, ‘Do they miss it so much that you’re just going to reinvent it over and over again?’” Green said, “I don’t want to offend you at all, it’s like, ‘We’ve done 10 years of this show and it’s OK, it’s over.’” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” which was created by Darren Star, aired for 10 seasons from 1990 to 2000. The story revolves around a group of friends living in Beverly Hills and follows their growth from high school kids to college students and then adults. The series starred Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Joe E. Tata, Carol Potter, James Eckhouse and Tiffani Thiessen, according to The Hollywood Reporter. (ANI)
