Toni Vilander will join the AF Corse squad for next month’s Indianapolis 8 Hour, the final round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America seasons supported by AWS and Intercontinental GT Challenge.

American racing driver Jay Schreibman revealed to SRO America’s Amanda Busick during Sunday’s broadcast of the Fanatec GT America race at Barber Motorsports Park that Vilander will join the team’s No. 183 Ferrari 296 GT3 lineup at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The two-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner will share the car with Schreibman and Oswaldi Negri during the eight-hour competition on October 6.

Since completing the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship season with AF Corse, Vilander has been sidelined.

The Finn is scheduled to compete in a pair of endurance races at Indianapolis in the space of a few weeks, and was also recently confirmed to be in the DragonSpeed GTD line-up for the six-hour Battle on the Bricks event as part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship on September 22.
