Three Big 12 football teams are having wild starts to their Week 2 games

Three Big 12 football teams are having wild starts to their Week 2 games

While things ultimately worked out for two of the first three Big 12 football teams to play this Saturday, the conference has not looked strong so far in Week 2. Oklahoma State (No. 16) and Kansas State (No. 17) both trailed unranked teams early in the season before taking the lead, and Cincinnati blew a 21-point lead at home to rival Pitt.

In the game against Oklahoma State, coach Mike Gundy’s Cowboys trailed Arkansas by two touchdowns at halftime but rallied late and defeated the Razorbacks in double overtime, 39-31.

Kansas State’s 34-27 victory over Tulane followed a similar script, with the Wildcats trailing by 10 points at halftime before point guard Avery Johnson and former Colorado point guard Dylan Edwards helped complete the comeback.

Here’s how social media reacted to the wild start to the second week of Big 12 play:

Madness in Boone Pickens

Weak starts for Oklahoma State and Kansas State

A fun start to week two

A tough task for Cincinnati

I can’t stand it anymore
