Taylor Swift Spotted at Chiefs’ First Game of the Season to Support Travis Kelce

Here we go again, Taylor Swift returns to Arrowhead Stadium to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce during the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Baltimore Ravens.

The “Tortured Poets” singer arrived at the first game of the regular season just before 6 p.m. Thursday night, a little over an hour before kickoff. Twitter videos show the star walking through the back hallways of the stadium before taking the elevator to her suite. She wore a blue denim bustier and shorts with shiny burgundy thigh-high boots. Her blue top, designed by Versace, is worth $1,325.

In a video posted by Kansas City FOX4 Sports Director Rob Collins, Swift can be seen walking by and saying, “Hi, how are you?”

The singer-songwriter is taking a two-month break from her massive five-city Eras Tour. The superstar may be able to attend the first five regular-season games before returning to the stage in Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis for nine nights in late October and early November. She may be able to attend the Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Monday night, November 4, and support the red and gold for the next five games. Her final performance in Toronto, Canada on December 8 falls on the same day as the Los Angeles Chargers game, but she may be able to attend the final four regular-season games.

Is Swift the Chiefs’ good luck charm?

In October, amid controversy over Swift’s appearance for just over 20 seconds during an NFL game broadcast, head coach Andy Reid admitted at a news conference that the singer could be a good luck bringer.

“Kelce is getting better with time. Taylor can be around as much as she wants,” he said.

Last year, the Chiefs were 10-3 when Swift was in attendance:

  • September 24: Chiefs beat Bears 41-10

  • October 1: Chiefs beat Jets 23-20

  • Oct. 12: Chiefs beat Broncos 19-8

  • Oct. 22: Chiefs beat Chargers 31-17

  • December 3: Packers beat Chiefs 27-19

  • December 10: Bills beat Chiefs 20-17

  • December 17: Chiefs beat Patriots 27-17

  • December 25: Raiders beat Chiefs 20-14

  • December 31: Chiefs beat Bengals 25-17

  • January 13: Chiefs beat Dolphins 26-7

  • January 21: Chiefs beat Bills 27-24

  • January 28: Chiefs beat Ravens 17-10

  • Feb. 11 Super Bowl: Chiefs beat 49ers 25-22

Kelce confirmed that Swift was fascinated by learning the rules of football after quarterback Patrick Mahomes told NBC’s Chris Simms that the singer “asks a lot of great questions” and “started working out plays.”

“I think what makes her so good at her job is that she’s so detailed about every aspect of it, from the lyrics to the music and even the releases and the videos and everything else,” Kelce told “The Rich Eisen Show.” “She’s so detailed and part of it is that I think she was just curious about the job. I know none of those plays have made it to Coach (Andy) Reid yet, but if they ever do, I’m going to make sure everybody knows it’s hers.”
