Louisville South Central Library Seeks Artists for Residency

Louisville South Central Library Seeks Artists for Residency

The Louisville Free Public Library is looking for new artists to come to their South Central Library location and create new, fee-based art through their new COLLIDER artist-in-residence program.

“The South Central Regional Library is hosting an artist-in-residence program designed to connect the public with art and the people who create it,” the library said in a Facebook post Wednesday.

According to the library, the grant was made possible with funding from Councilwoman Madonna Flood and enabled the creation of a program that gives Louisville artists the chance to create new art and be paid for it.

No type of art is limited to this program, the library said. Visual artists, traditional craftsmen, musicians, dancers, digital artists, writers and many others are invited to apply for this scholarship program.

To apply, go to LFPL.org/COLLIDER. Application deadline is September 30.
