Lakers sign forward Alex Fudge

Lakers sign forward Alex Fudge

This week, as the start of training camp slowly approaches, the Los Angeles Lakers began making some minor roster changes in order to field a full roster for the duration of training camp.

They signed point guard Jordan Goodwin, who spent the last three seasons in the NBA with the Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies, to an Exhibit 10 deal. On Wednesday, they brought in 6-foot-9 forward Vincent Valerio-Bodon, who played for their summer league team in July, to a similar deal, only to release him on Thursday.

On Thursday night, the Lakers announced they had signed Alex Fudge, likely to another Exhibit 10 deal.

Fudge, a 6-foot-8, 200-pound forward, was signed by Los Angeles as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Florida last summer. He played mostly in the G League last season, but also got some reserve duty with the Lakers in four games and appeared in two games for the Dallas Mavericks.

He will give the Lakers another young player to develop as part of a new emphasis on developing young, promising players.
