Derrick Henry scores the first touchdown of the 2024 NFL season

Derrick Henry’s first series with the Baltimore Ravens ended with the first touchdown of the 2024 NFL season on Thursday night.

Henry capped an 11-play, 70-yard series with a 5-yard touchdown run on his fifth carry of the opening drive as Baltimore took a 7-0 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs with 8:14 left in the first quarter.

After eight seasons with the Tennessee Titans, the former Alabama All-American joined the Ravens in NFL free agency in March for a two-year, $16 million contract.

Henry’s first touchdown with Baltimore was the 91st rushing TD of his NFL career. He’s tied for 11th in NFL history with Franco Harris and Jerome Betts.

Seven of Henry’s regular-season rushing touchdowns have come against Kansas City.
