Country Festival Stagecoach Announces 2025 Lineup Featuring Lana Del Rey, Nelly, T-Pain, Creed, Backstreet Boys and Goo Goo Dolls

All right, This is interesting. Stagecoach, the massive annual country festival, just revealed its 2025 lineup, and it includes a ton of stuff that doesn’t fit too many strict definitions of “country music.” The lineup is full of Y2K-era mainstream nostalgia, as well as Lana Del Rey, a woman who headlined Coachella at the same venue a few months ago.

In February, Lana Del Rey announced her plans to release a country album titled Lasso. So far, nothing has come of it, though some have claimed to hear a country influence on Del Rey’s recent collaboration with Quavo, “Tough.” But Del Rey has been to Stagecoach before. This year, she joined Paul Cauthen on stage to perform “Unchained Melody.” This year’s Stagecoach was also where Post Malone began his wildly successful turn to country, playing a set of classic country covers with guest appearances from the likes of Brad Paisley and Dwight Yoakam. Expect some of Posty’s peers to try to follow that playbook.

There are many stories to be gleaned from this year’s Stagecoach lineup. For one, the evening’s headliners are not the usual suspects. Country-rock outsider Zach Bryan will headline the first night, sharing the duties with rapper-turned-country singer Jelly Roll and powerhouse vocalist Luke Combs. Of the three, only Combs is a classic Nashville insider, and even he has a bit of an outlaw edge. Sturgill Simpson, known as an enemy of Nashville’s country establishment, is in the direct support slot. Also on the bill at the top are Sammy Hagar and Nelly, two very different mainstream party starters who have had a few crossover country moments over the years. (Nelly’s set celebrates 25 years of his debut album National grammar(which at least has the word “country” in the title.)

The Stagecoach line-up features relatively normal country names like Brothers Osborne, Midland and the great Ashley McBryde, alongside left-wing choices like Goo Goo Dolls and Tommy James And The Shondells. Current crossover hitmaker Shaboozey is front and centre on the show, and Kevin Bacon’s Bacon Brothers are also there.

But the real oddity is in the “Late Night at the Palomino” category, a venue that often showcases pop acts from faraway lands. (This year’s were Nickelback and Wiz Khalifa.) Next year’s festival will feature a lineup of stars T-Pain, Creed and the Backstreet Boys, as well as Stagecoach guests Diplo and Guy Fieri. The listed “special guest” is the Compton Cowboys, a nonprofit organization that seeks to combat racial stereotypes through horseback riding. probably That doesn’t mean Kendrick Lamar will show up in a Stetson and spurs, but anything seems to be on the table these days.

Honestly, it looks pretty good. The festival will take place April 25-27 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. You can find all the relevant information here.
