CBJ Artillery raises funds for Gaudreau family

CBJ Artillery raises funds for Gaudreau family

“CBJ Artillery” is known for all things Blue Jackets. Fans rely on the podcast for essential information about the team.

Now, the podcast members are going even further in an effort to make a positive impact on Johnny Gaudreau’s family.

It’s a labor of love. Print after print. A number and a name that means so much to so many.

Kyle Spencer, co-host of the CBJ Artillery podcast, is one of the people responsible for helping Johnny Hockey’s family.

“You have to be able to let your emotions out. You have to be able to let them out. You have to come into a space with other people who are going through the same emotions you’re going through and be able to let them out to each other,” Spencer said.

The creators of the podcast have partnered with Columbus Apparel Company to create sweatshirts and t-shirts.

All proceeds will go to support Matthew Gaudreau’s widow, Madeline, and their teenage child, Tripp.

The online fundraiser has already raised more than $500,000.

“I keep coming back to the word community, camaraderie, whatever you want to call it. It’s just everybody coming together, being there for each other, helping each other through this and coming out stronger, hopefully,” Spencer told ABC 6.

Prints are a way to do something, another way for fans and the community to show that they care.

You still have time to get one of the sweatshirts or shirts to help Matthew Gaudreau’s family. Thanks to all the support and orders CBJ Artillery is receiving, they will have these items available online until Sunday.
