UConn Men’s Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

STORRS, CT (WFSB) – The University of Connecticut men’s basketball team announced its lineup for 11 games against non-conference opponents this week.

The defending NCAA champions will face schools such as Baylor, Gonzaga and Texas.

Fans will get their first look at the 2024-25 Huskies at the Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement Game, which UConn said was an exhibition game against Rhode Island, starting Oct. 14 at Mohegan Sun Arena. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Coaches vs. Cancer charity.

The 2024-25 season officially begins with Banner Night, a state battle against Sacred Heart on November 6.

Then, on November 9, New Hampshire comes to town.

UConn will take the court for the first time on Nov. 13 against Le Moyne, then face new opponent Texas A&M-Commerce on Nov. 19.

Next up is the 2024 Maui Invitational. The Huskies will play at the Lahaina Civic Center on Nov. 25, 26 and 27. UConn will face Memphis in the first game in Maui, then Colorado or Michigan State in the second game, and then Auburn, Iowa State, Dayton and North Carolina in the third game.

After returning from three games in three days in Hawaii, UConn will host UMES in Connecticut on November 30.

In December, 2021 national champion Baylor will visit UConn to face off in the final installment of the BIG EAST-Big 12 playoffs.

UConn’s first real road test will be on December 8 in Austin, Texas.

The Huskies return for their final non-conference game against Gonzaga on Dec. 14 as part of the 2024 Hall of Fame Series at “Storrs South” at Madison Square Garden.
