The entrance to Columbus Place shopping center is still under reconstruction

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Work is underway to remodel the entrance to Columbus Place.

Hull Properties recently secured city council approval to acquire part of Old Aberdeen Road and release rights of way there.

Today, crews are cutting down trees at the entrance to the shopping center. It was once known as Leigh Mall.

Earthworks are also underway along Highway 45.

The new space will allow Hull Properties to expand its footprint onto Highway 45, create land for further development and potentially create a new entrance to the property.
