Seahawks sign two players to practice squad

The ongoing shakeup of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad continues. On Wednesday, it was announced that the Seahawks have signed a pair of defensive quarterbacks to their practice squad. Kenneth Odumegwu and Quinton Bohanna are now in the Seattle organization. Odumegwu and Bohanna replace defensive quarterback Kyon Barrs and offensive lineman Max Pircher, who were waived on Tuesday.

Quinton Bohanna was originally drafted in the sixth round by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft, where he played his first two seasons. He joined the Detroit Lions in 2023 and saw some action, but was ultimately signed by the Tennessee Titans in late 2023. The Seahawks got to see Bohanna up close and personal during their workouts, which is further proof that the preseason isn’t just an audition for your team… it’s also an audition for every other team in the league. Bohanna has 39 tackles in his career.

As for Kenneth Odumegwu, it’s a funny story. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Odumegwu earned his place in the NFL by playing well at the international combine and was selected for the international player pathway program. His first NFL appearance came last year when he was a member of the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad. Now, he’s moving to the Emerald City to join the Seahawks.
