Man hospitalized after shooting in Shawnee neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man was taken to the hospital after being shot Wednesday afternoon in the Shawnee neighborhood.

Louisville City Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 3800 block of River Park Drive around 3:30 p.m. They found a man who had been shot.

Officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived and took the man to UofL Hospital. The man is expected to survive.

Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting and what the possible motive is. There are no suspects yet, and LMPD is asking anyone with information to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-5673 or use the LMPD Crime Tip portal online.
