Indianapolis Weather in November

Weather is always a part of conversations about what’s happening in Indiana.

Lucas Oil Stadium has a retractable roof, so ticketed fans won’t have to brave the elements during the show. The average temperature in November was 51 degrees, with a minimum of 34, based on nearly 30 years of National Weather Service data.

If you’re wondering about tornadoes, they’re most common between March and August. November has seen about 85 tornadoes statewide since 1950, compared to more than 350 in June.

Snow is possible, but during this time in November, Indianapolis has averaged less than an inch of snowfall, with the first measurable snowfall typically occurring on Nov. 24, according to the NWS.
