Cody Rhodes WWE WrestleMania 41 Plans, Gunther vs. Ilja, Charlotte Flair

On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that WWE plans to have The Rock face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. Well, these are just rumors and even if Rhodes is set to face The Rock, there could always be an audible ball drop between then and when it happens.

But it makes sense.

Rhodes and Rock have unfinished business stemming from their violent clashes over WrestleMania 40. The last time we saw the Brahma Bull, he whispered something into Cody’s ear and flew off into the sunset toward Hollywood. We still don’t know what he said.

Additionally, Rock’s return to the program with Roman Reigns and Rhodes did incredible business. He looked better than ever in his heel persona. WWE would be foolish not to continue to capitalize on Rock’s renewed passion and appeal.

Of course, all rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, but this one would be surprising if… NO become.

Charlotte Flair was last seen in a December 2023 episode of the series. Defeat. She injured her knee during the performance and underwent surgery to repair it.

Viper Reports reports that Flair is hard at work rehabbing for his upcoming return to The Defeat on the horizon. If all goes according to plan, he’ll likely challenge Nia Jax before moving on to a show with Tiffany Stratton.

Flair has long been a mainstay in the WWE women’s division. There’s no doubt she’ll remain one as long as she’s healthy. She’s also one of the best WWE performers of the last decade, so it makes sense that she’d be thrown into a high-profile program upon her return.

This was mentioned in WRKD Wrestling, but it’s obvious to anyone who listens carefully.

Gunther and Ilja returned to their banger conflict NXT UK during the WWE European tour preceding Party in Berlin. By all accounts, the house was torn to pieces each time.

The reigning World Heavyweight Champion and the Mad Dragon have a ready-made style that fits together: stiff, believable, and overall brutal.

It’s likely only a matter of time before WWE decides to put these two wrestlers up for a fight for the gold, perhaps at a PLE or in a series of televised matches.
