Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider finalized his initial 53-man roster and practice squad last week. Schneider hasn’t made any changes to the active roster since then, but he’s continued to shake up the practice squad. The Seahawks have released several players from their bench, creating room for potential new signings.

Schneider released defensive quarterback Kyon Barrs and offensive lineman Max Pircher from the practice squad. Notably, Pircher was an International Pathway Player, meaning the Seahawks are returning to a 16-man practice squad instead of having an exception to add a 17th player. It also means that releasing Barrs and Pircher only freed up one practice squad spot. Defensive lineman Buddha Jones was also released from injured reserve.

One interesting potential acquisition is free agent wide receiver Kadarius Toney. The Seahawks recently hosted the former first-round draft pick on a visit, though reports have since claimed a deal is not imminent. Toney and the Seahawks could soon revisit a deal that would see the versatile wide receiver join the practice squad.

In other news, former Seahawks offensive lineman Raiqwon O’Neal signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad on Tuesday. O’Neal was previously a member of Tampa before joining the Seahawks’ 53-man roster. He was released by Schneider during the roster cuts and has since returned to his old stomping grounds.
