Lightning Announces Prospect Camp and NHL Rookie Showcase Roster

LIGHTNING ANNOUNCES NHL ROOKIE CAMP AND ROOKIE SHOW

Lightning prospects will face Carolina prospects,

Florida and Nashville, Tennessee September 13-16

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning today announced their roster for the upcoming 2024 Prospect Camp and NHL Rookie Showcase, which will be held at the Ford Ice Center Bellevue in Nashville, Tennessee, from September 13-16. The Lightning players will be in the field at the TGH Ice Plex on September 11.

Tampa Bay’s roster features 13 players selected by the team, including one second-round pick in forward Ethan Gauthier (2023, 37th overall). Gauthier is joined by three players selected by the Bolts in the 2024 draft: defenseman Jan Golicic (118th overall), center Kaden Pitre (181st overall) and goaltender Harrison Meneghin (206th overall). Conor Geekie, the 11th pick in the 2022 draft who was acquired by Tampa Bay in a trade with Utah Hockey Club, will also be in attendance. The Lightning’s full roster for the upcoming 2024 Prospect Camp and NHL Rookie Showcase can be found below.

The NHL Rookie Showcase features prospects from the Lightning, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes and Nashville Predators. All four teams will play each other once over the course of the four-day Showcase, starting with Nashville vs. Florida at 2:00 p.m. (CT) and Tampa Bay vs. Carolina at 5:00 p.m. (CT) on Friday, September 13. Admission to all games is free and open to the public, and all games will be available to stream live on TampaBayLightning.com.

Any player under an entry-level contract (or below), provided he is 24 years of age or younger and has less than 20 games of NHL experience, is eligible to participate in the NHL Rookie Showcase (exceptions may be made with prior approval of all teams). Teams will field 18 players and two goaltenders per game. Players are allowed one bout in the tournament; a second bout will result in suspension of the tournament. Each game will consist of three 20-minute periods with timeouts. A tie will result in a five-minute 3-on-3 overtime period. Each game will be followed by a penalty shootout involving five shooters from each team regardless of the final score.
