NFL fans have a few Sunday Ticket options this year. Here’s how much they cost.

The 2024-25 NFL season will begin on Thursday night when the Baltimore Ravens take on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

The game will be broadcast on NBC, so fans with a basic cable subscription will be able to watch it. However, if you want to watch games played outside your country throughout the NFL season, the NFL Sunday Ticket is your best bet.

NFL Sunday Ticket is a sports streaming package that shows all out-of-market Sunday NFL games that are not available on local NBC, CBS or FOX affiliates. The service is offered exclusively through YouTube TV.

Since its launch in 1984, the bundle was previously carried by satellite service DirecTV. Google, owner of YouTube and streaming service YouTube TV, won the rights to the bundle in December 2022, outbidding Amazon and ESPN and paying about $2 billion per year for seven years, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Here’s what you need to know about the prices of each type of Sunday Ticket package, as well as some discounts to help you save this football season.

Ticket price breakdown for Sunday’s NFL game

You have options if you want to get NFL Sunday Ticket. These options include:

NFL Sunday Ticket with YouTube TV: The price for NFL Sunday Ticket and a YouTube TV subscription is currently four installments of $158.99 per month, for a total of $635.96. After those four months, you’ll be charged $72.99 per month for the basic YouTube TV plan. You can also add NFL RedZone for $10.99 per month, for a total of $43.96 per season.
NFL Sunday Ticket without YouTube TV: The price to watch NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube is four installments of $119.75, for a total of $479 per season. You can also add NFL RedZone for $10 per month, for a total of $40 per season.

Sunday promotions and discounts on tickets

YouTube TV promo code:The first 25,000 people who use the code TICKET50 by Thursday, September 5 will receive $50 off the Sunday Ticket.
Verizon NFL Sunday Ticket Deals and Discounts: New mobile and home internet customers, and current subscribers who upgrade, can get NFL Sunday Ticket for free. However, the offer for home internet customers ends Thursday, Aug. 29; the mobile offer ends Sept. 11. Also: Current customers can get $100 off NFL Sunday Ticket or NFL Sunday Ticket with NFL RedZone, for a full season price of $349 or $389.
3 Week Free Trial from FanDuel: New users who place a $5 bet on FanDuel will receive a three-week free trial of NFL Sunday Ticket with YouTube and YouTube TV (offer valid through September 22; after placing a bet, you’ll receive a promo code to use on YouTube for the next three weeks). After the trial ends, the full price of NFL Sunday Ticket will automatically be charged seasonally unless you cancel. And new FanDuel customers who place their first $5 bet will also receive $200 in bonus bets.

Is there a student discount on NFL Sunday Ticket?

The package typically costs $479, but students can purchase the NFL Sunday Ticket for $199 – and add NFL RedZone for $10.

The discount is available to college and university students, who can sign up on the NFL Sunday Ticket website, which is owned by YouTube.

Students can sign up for the NFL Sunday Ticket Student Plan for $199 on YouTube. YouTube suggests using a personal email address to set up NFL Sunday Ticket (you watch through the NFL on YouTube) because some college networks place restrictions on .edu accounts.

Once you’re on the site, you’ll be able to choose whether to subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket ($199) or NFL Sunday Ticket with NFL RedZone ($209). Hosted by Scott Hanson, the RedZone channel follows the big plays during Sunday’s games for seven hours live and can show up to eight games at once via its famous “Octobox.”

Students will then be redirected to the SheerID page to verify student status. Students will then be required to provide a payment method.

NFL Sunday Ticket will feature new features this season

NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers on YouTube and YouTube TV can look forward to several new features in the upcoming regular season, including one that could help them win their fantasy football leagues.

Sunday Ticket subscribers will be able to watch matches differently than they did a year ago thanks to the inclusion of a new “Fantasy View” partner, deeper integration with fantasy games and improvements to multiple views, according to a blog post shared by YouTube.

“This year, you’ll see an even more personalized game day experience for every fan,” the blog post reads. “We’re excited to share the latest in a host of features coming this fall.”

Additionally, according to the blog, YouTube has improved its multiview feature, allowing subscribers to create any combination of two, three or four NFL Sunday Ticket games.

YouTube TV Basic plan members will also be able to find multiview broadcasts of local NFL games they are interested in on select stations.
