The full closure of the interstate has been lifted after Tuesday morning’s traffic jam.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — I-40 East, I-40 West and I-24 East were closed near mile markers 210 and 211 on the east side of the Downtown Beltway due to a fatal crash Tuesday.

Authorities said the car overturned just after 2:30 a.m. and that the drivers’ injuries were not related to the crash.

Full closures have now been lifted; two lanes of I-40 WB remain blocked.
