Man killed in Shelby Park shooting identified

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The victim of a fatal shooting in the Shelby Park neighborhood Sunday night has been identified. LMPD spokesman John Bradley said the shooting was reported Sunday just before midnight in the 1200 block of South Shelby Street.

When officers arrived, they found Justin Wells, 33, of Louisville, who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to University of Louisville Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

On Monday morning, 21-year-old Cody Hedrick was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
