Kamala Harris Goes Viral With New ‘Embarrassing’ Accent at Detroit Rally, Draws ‘Foghorn Leghorn’ Comparisons

Vice President Kamala Harris raised eyebrows at her Labor Day rally in Detroit, Michigan, by revealing what critics are calling a new “accent.”

Harris spent her Monday vacation in the Motor City, hoping to drum up support for blue-collar unions in a key swing state she wants to keep blue in the November election.

“You better thank a union member for a five-day work week,” Harris told the crowd, noticeably changing her dialect. “You better thank a union member for sick leave. You better thank a union member for paid vacation. You better thank a union member for vacation.”

Conservative X-rated profile Johnny MAGA shared a clip criticizing Harris’ “Detroit speech,” calling the vice president “embarrassing and fake.”

“That’s her seventh new accent in four weeks,” Trump senior adviser Stephen Miller responded. “She’s literally never done that accent before. She grew up in Canada. The fakest politician in all of politics.”

“All politics is a Kamala Harris show,” said GOP strategist Matt Whitlock. “She switches between fake accents as much as she switches between policy positions and political personas. Today, she speaks with a fake Southern accent, pretending to be a moderate. Next week, she’ll be back in liberal San Francisco.”

The Trump campaign called out her “embarrassing” accent in another clip, in which Harris tells a rally attendee, “Let’s get through these next 64 days, how about that!?” before bursting into laughter.

“What did I just watch… what’s with the new accent?” TikTok Libs responded. “The fakeness and embarrassment here is beyond words.”

Other X users compared Harris’ accent to that of iconic Looney Tunes cartoon character Foghorn Leghorn.

Harris’ campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Harris has been repeatedly accused of changing her accent depending on the group of people she is talking to.

In July, Harris was criticized for using a fake Southern accent while speaking at a rally in Atlanta. During her 2021 trip abroad to France, critics claimed Harris used a “French accent” while touring a COVID lab.
