Alabama 4th Worst Place to Work in US: Study

Alabama has been ranked last in the list of states with the best places to work, according to a new study.

Alabama came in 49th, with neighboring Georgia in 50th, Mississippi in 51st, and North Carolina in last place at 52nd. The study included all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia.

In the sixth edition of the study, Oxfam America looked at three policy areas to determine each state’s ranking: wage policy, worker protections and the right to organize.

Alabama ranks 48th, 50th and 42nd, respectively.

According to the study, the best place to work in 2024 is Washington, D.C. They took first place with an overall score of 85.67 out of 100.
