First Alert Forecast: Cooler Weather Returns

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Watch for very dense fog this morning. Dense Fog Warning will be in effect until 8:00 a.m. across most of the Midstate.

Otherwise, it will be a pleasant, dry Labor Day with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon. At night, temperatures will drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be very similar with mostly cloudy skies, highs in the mid 80s, and a very small chance of showers. Lows in the upper 60s.

Our next chance for rain will come on Thursday and Friday. Both days have a 40% chance of showers and temperatures will be much colder. Highs will reach the upper 70s to around 80º both afternoons.

The rain will taper off just before the weekend, but the cooler air will stick around. Both Saturday and Sunday look to be clear and sunny, with highs in the 70s to near 80s. Lows will be much lower in the 50s.
